I can not write enough about self-care right now. We are currently living in this bubble that demands that we take care of ourselves that we can be as healthy as possible to not get the virus but to also be able to care for someone we love should they become sick.
Here are some things to do:
- Pray, meditate, give your concerns to the one who created you.
- Take deep breaths during the day. Breath in for a count of 4, hold and control the release for as long as you can.
- Go for a walk if the weather permits.
- Practice your passion. You have time now to devote to your hobbies, do it!
- Snuggle your pet. My Jack is really digging this quarantine.
- Stay hydrated. The CDC has said warm water and coffee/tea could help fight off the virus because it sticks to mucous in your throat and the warm liquids could flush it to your stomach where it is “eaten up.” Just remember coffee/tea
are not hydrating so keep drinking water. - Take a warm shower/bath. I’ve never gotten into our soaker tub I think its time I check it out.
- Massage is always relaxing. You might have to be direct with your person massaging you that you only want a massage, how it ends is up to YOU.
- And you know I can not make this list without LAUGHTER! It is so good for you.
Please take the time now that you have it to do somethings just for yourself.
