Music of My Heart

I mentioned before that I love music. I am pretty sure that I sang before I talked. I know my oldest daughter did and she is a music fan like I am. Music is just part of my DNA. I know it affects everyone differently life would be very sad for me if I didn’t have musi every day. I have trouble sitting still when some songs come on. This has gotten me into trouble at times.

As a fan of Elvis you can put on just about anything he did from the Vegas years and my feet get to moving. I have made many trips with Elvis CD’s playing and my kids singing along and miles passing by.

Being a child of the ’80s of course I am a fan of Michael Jackson. I can’t moonwalk but the Viking can. He’s a big guy but you should see him glide around a dance floor like no one’s business. It’s a shame that Michael’s legacy is muddy and his life and music ended all too soon.

Country music from my childhood! Dolly, Conway, Willie, Reba, Garth. All of these people are so talented and well known they only need one name. These are just a few of the artists of the ’70s and ’80s that sang the country music I grew up with. I like what is playing now but it is more of a country/rock than this country music.

Last but not least the music that will move my heart every time good ole Gospel music mostly written by the master himself Bill Gaither. The words and melodies so simple and sweet, the messages pure and true. How can you not listen and shed a tear when you know they sing the truth? Below is a song that gives me goose bumps everytime if not brings me to tears not written by Bill Gaither but it is being performed by the Gaither Vocal Band. I hope you like it as much as I do.
