One thing I can stand is to be late or to not be able to find something. I am not the most organized person so I work at it. I wrote about post it notes and calendars at work, well believe me I have a ton of reminders and organizational stuff at home. I just can’t remember things like I used to. I set reminders on my phone. I keep invitations here on my desk. I tell the Little One to remind me if she is going with me. She rolls her eyes….I know, I know I tell her. Someday you’ll be my age and I hope you have twin girls rolling their beautiful brown eyes at you.
One thing that has helped me immensely is the Kon Mari method of folding clothes. Who knew?!? There are a ton of YouTubers out there doing this I watched one or two of the folding. I did not watch Kon Mari I couldn’t understand her and she wanted me to thank the clothes for covering me and blah blah blah. No lady I don’t have time for that, how do you fold the clothes. So I found someone else who just showed me how it was done and I was ready to go. Then I reorganized my dresser, gave away some things used the new folding method that really does work and thought
Now everything that I have used for in the house has a place of its own and is in its place. I used to put my keys in my pocket, then I would have to remember which coat I had on, not anymore I put them in the little basket in the kitchen every time I come home. I always know where those suckers are. I haven’t been late getting somewhere since I did that. I am one happy, happy girl. Its the little things it really is.
To you that are naturally organized I tip my hat. This is something that I have always had to work on. I still don’t have it all down pat I blame the people I live with that won’t get on the organization wagon with me. But I am going to keep pressing on until everything has a place and is in its place.
