I must live in a box. I had heard of Galentine’s Day but never paid much attention to it. So I looked it up, and found out it was created by the character pictured above in Parks and Recreation a television show in which I have not watched one single episode. So Galentine’s is a made up holiday but a fictional character. Interesting…..

There is a Wikipedia page for it to explain what it is, you can Google it and there are all kinds of things that you can purchase, lists creative ways to celebrate it, but the bottom line is this – Galentine’s Day is Ladies Celebrating Ladies! I’ve already said that I don’t care for made up holidays and the pressure they put on you BUT as busy as life is if this particular “holiday” will make you slow down and make time to celebrate the ladies in your life I am all in!

Find your besties and celebrate, none of us are getting any younger, tell the people you love that you love them and the people you appreciate that you appreciate them and have one heck of a Galentine’s Day! I bet you didn’t see that coming ~ how unpredictable was that?
